I'll be the first to admit, I've bought into a million and one get rich quick schemes, all which have left me poorer and the person or company who sold it to me richer. So I've been brainstorming, trying to find a way to get out of the rat race- or at the very least make enough money to have more free time for school and leisure... and well I've found it!!! What I'm going to show you today is a step by step guide to making money not by taking online surveys but promoting the online survey companies. For those who have a little motivation, I'll show you how to make at least $120/day and well for those who don't... I'll show you how to make $1200 -$1400 a month in your spare time!!! I know this sounds like a load of garbage but if you read on IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. The initial set up will take a couple of hours, but I'm going to let you copy and paste most of my work and i'll let you know what you want to change so that you get the credit in doing this it will save you a TON of time. I'm going to make this as simple and as easy to understand, and while it may seem absurd the way the layout is set up, it will make it very easy to understand.
So with that being said, lets begin.
Step 1) Set up a separate email account. I'm telling you to do this for very good reason, the survey companies on average will send between 3 and 6 survey offers per month, so if you don't check your emails every day you may find a flood of emails in your inbox and it can get pretty maddening sifting through which ones are from the survey companies and which are from your friends or work. I personally prefer Googles' Gmail since they have a huge amount of available storage space. (Remember the claim they came out with saying you would never have to delete another email for the rest of your life). Here's the link to Gmail.
Step 2) Create a blog account. I hate to keep tauting Google services but they are extremely easy to set up and their interface is what you see is what you get. In addition to this, if your familiar with coding you can also use the edit html feature which permits you to write in html. Also, if you want to put sponsored links on the sidebars or under your blog then they give you the option to put AdSense links on your account or if you use the add html feature you can add sponsor links from other companies as well. Here's the link to set up a Google Blogger.com account.
Step 3) Follow the link that gives all the legitimate online survey companies that pay cash for taking their surveys and not just a chance for an entry into a sweepstakes. This is what will separate those who want to make money with taking the surveys, and those who want to make money promoting the surveys. As you'll see from the list, you'll get a brief description of what you can expect to get paid per survey, approximately how many surveys you can expect per month, age requirements, if they take international participants, how much they pay per referral, if you have to use an affiliate broker or if they give you a referral link and their payment methods.
Step 4) Click on the applicable link to each of the surveys and register with each of the survey companies. This is the most time consuming part of the set up. Each registration can take anywhere from a minute up to five minutes. Once, your registered you'll be given the option to refer people.
Step 5a - survey takers) Ahhh, finally finished with that.... Once your registered you'll start to begin to receive surveys, these surveys will pay you between a couple of bucks up to around $50 for discussion forums, you can begin making money with this option right away.
Step 5b - the promoters) Your now registered with the survey companies and unless otherwise noted, able to refer people in one of two ways. One, you can begin emailing your friends and letting them know about the survey companies and how they can make extra money by taking the surveys and for each referral you get the survey company will pay you their applicable referral fee. OR two you can begin showing people how to make money showing people how to promote the survey companies' surveys. You will make the most money with option two. With option two, you will access your Blogger.com (or whichever company you chose to use) account and write a blog showing people how to make money taking and/or promoting online surveys similar to this. Create the list of all the survey companies and a description of each. (you can use mine if you prefer to copy and paste, that'll save you quite a bit of time) In the spot where the survey company name is, highlight and use the create link option, in the link bar that will pull up, place your referral code, now each referral who signs up will add money to your account.
Step 6 - the promoters) Advertise. I don't mean this in the sense that you need to begin spending money on advertising, below you will find various advertising methods that will let a ton of people know about your site without spending a ton of money in the process.

Update. Week One - making money online.
So its the end of the first week. I'll be honest, I didn't advertise as much as I would have liked. I just got busy with finals this last week. I put out 10 fliers, 5 of which had pull down tabs on them, I was really surprised at how well the fliers actually worked and wish I would have put up a lot more than what I did!!! Everyday I would put up a new flier and everyday the pull down tabs were all gone, and with as little advertising as I did, I actually got 20 hits.
In addition to the fliers, I also put a link on my Myspace page to the site, and I'm not really sure how well that worked or didn't work, as I'm still fairly new to Myspace and don't have a huge friends list.
Then finally, i submitted my site via google and yahoo. I also used a free search engine submission service, addpro.com, and have included the link. to their site : Search Engine Optimization.
So, my results for week one: 20 hits, $1.32 income from AdSense, definitely not stellar, but considering my marketing efforts, better than I expected.

Tips for Writing a Good Blog
As I've said in previous posts, that I am new to writing blogs, so with that being said, your probably how I'm going to give advise on something I'm new at. Well, I'm not. Basically, I want this to be a resource center. So again I've looked online for ideas, and am sharing them with you. I'm going to relate what I've learned to this particular blog.
So here are my ten tips for writing a good blog:
1) Know your target audience. This may seem pretty obvious but it is the step most often skipped. In my case I would say that my target audience are individuals who are interested in making money online as either a secondary income or as passive income. Since I'm initially going to be advertising this site at college campuses and MySpace I would expect you to be between 18-25 or if a non-traditional student someone who is currently going to school full-time and working and would like to try to find a way to make extra money.
2) Set the tone of your blog. After determining your target audience, you want to try to determine how you'll be writing to them. In my case, since I'm expecting my target audience to generally be of college age, Ive decided that I want to write this as a laid back, easy to understand blog. I won't be getting to technical partially because I don't know enough to get technical and partially because I think its boring to read.
3) Be honest. It sounds so obvious, but too often people prefer to tell you stories and keep you coming back rather than tell you the truth. In the case of this blog, I don't expect this to be easy and that I'm going to be making a $100 a day tomorrow but at the same time, I'm not to proud to say that I don't dream about making money with this blog. I'm not here to sell you anything. I'm here to learn and try to pass on what I learn. If I make money with it, great, if not hopefully my grammar and possibly my writing will improve.
4) Actually write. Don't just list a whole bunch of links to the information that people came to your site for. We all know how annoying it is to go to web site that tells us nothing but links to everything. This isn't to say that having some links on your site is bad, in fact, having links to other helpful information is great, just don't overdo it.
5) Keep It Simple Sweet. You've heard this a million times in a million different contexts. In a nutshell, what were saying is keep the paragraphs short, don't ramble and keep the writing as easy to understand as possible.
6) Quality over quantity. I can write a blog a day everyday, however one of three things is going to happen. 1. I'm going to get tired of writing everyday. 2. Your going to get tired of hearing from me everyday or 3. I'm going to run out of things to write about and the quality of my writing will go down.
7) RSS feeds. You're probably wondering what the heck is an RSS feed. Well, it stands for Really Simple Syndication and the best way to think of it is similar to a magazine subscription. When you post a new blog, people get it sent to them. This eliminates the need for people to have to bookmark your page or remember to waste there time coming to your page if you haven't updated anything on it.
8) Edit your blog. It takes about two seconds to do a spell check, and it can really improve the blog significantly.
9) Use a lot of keywords. Think about what people will type in when they do a Google search and put those words through out your blog, just make sure that they seem natural and not just thrown in there to get extra hits.
10) Finally, practice. I don't expect my writing to be fantastic at first, however it will get better with time and eventually, It may even be pretty good.
I hope that this helped and again I always accept comments and questions.

5 Ways to Make Money Online
Everyone wants to make money online and why not, work from home, don't listen to a boss nagging at you, set your own schedule...it all sounds so appealing. Unfortunately, its not always that easy and most of the sites you click on are just trying to sell you something. So I've decided to list the 5 MAIN ways for you to make money online.
1) Blogging. Anyone who has a Myspace, Facebook, Twitter or one of the many other social network accounts knows what blogging is, (even if you didn't know that was what it was called.) I hate to be the one who breaks this to you, but those sites weren't set up so that you can connect with your friends, they were set up to make money for the companies who created them. If you look in the sidebar on your Myspace account you see sponsored links, those companies pay a fee either to A) be placed there or B) when someone clicks on them.
What were going to discuss today is how you can get paid off blogging. The most popular way from blogging when you first sign up is the Googles AdSense program. Basically, the way it works is you set up a blog account ( I chose blogger as they are run by Google and not only are they set up for Adsense already, but Google is one of the most friendly companies when it comes to placing other companies' sponsored links on your blogger page) you then sign up for the Google Adsense Program, its free, they then place sponsored links on your site based on what ever topic your discussing, each time one of the sponsored links gets clicked they split the revenue with you. Now I use Google only because generally when your first starting out they are the easiest to set up and their search engine is remarkable.
2) Online Surveys. This is probably the most popular way to make money money online and also one of the most extorted ways as well. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER PAY FOR A SURVEY LIST!!! In a nutshell, finding out what consumers think and why we choose certain products enables the companies who are selling various products and services to make more money. So what they do is hire various research companies to design surveys and these companies then administer the surveys and pay you for your opinion. As of this writing I've been able to find 120 such companies that pay anywhere from $3- $100+ to partake in their surveys.
3) Affiliate marketing programs. This is another fantastic way to make money online however, in order to participate you have to have either a) your own website or b) your own blog. The way this works is that you are paid to promote another companies website in doing so, you earn a commission as either a) a percentage of each sale or b) a per lead basis, which is similiar to the Pay per click advertising with AdSense. I personally use an affiliate broker which gives you a huge list of affiliate companies, the most popular one online and my personal favorite is commission junction as they are very well respected and have a ton of affiliate programs you can promote!!!
4) Freelance Writing. This is something that I've heard about, however, never really look into until recently since I don't have an English degree and I'm not exactly the greatest writer and when I think of freelance writing, I'm thinking of the Associates Press or New York Times, however as of late I've found many companies that pay you just for writing about something you know.
5) Develope Your Own Product. This is probably the most difficult way to make money online however, its also probably one of the most lucrative. If you are looking fot the best oppurtunity to work at home and start a career, building a website and promoting your own product off of it is the best solution. Having your own web site opens the doors to a plethora of other opportunities as well. In addition to selling your own product u can promote affiliate programs you are involved with, set up links to freelance work you do, and even charge people to advertise on your site.
