5 Ways to Make Money Online

Everyone wants to make money online and why not, work from home, don't listen to a boss nagging at you, set your own schedule...it all sounds so appealing. Unfortunately, its not always that easy and most of the sites you click on are just trying to sell you something. So I've decided to list the 5 MAIN ways for you to make money online.
1) Blogging. Anyone who has a Myspace, Facebook, Twitter or one of the many other social network accounts knows what blogging is, (even if you didn't know that was what it was called.) I hate to be the one who breaks this to you, but those sites weren't set up so that you can connect with your friends, they were set up to make money for the companies who created them. If you look in the sidebar on your Myspace account you see sponsored links, those companies pay a fee either to A) be placed there or B) when someone clicks on them.
What were going to discuss today is how you can get paid off blogging. The most popular way from blogging when you first sign up is the Googles AdSense program. Basically, the way it works is you set up a blog account ( I chose blogger as they are run by Google and not only are they set up for Adsense already, but Google is one of the most friendly companies when it comes to placing other companies' sponsored links on your blogger page) you then sign up for the Google Adsense Program, its free, they then place sponsored links on your site based on what ever topic your discussing, each time one of the sponsored links gets clicked they split the revenue with you. Now I use Google only because generally when your first starting out they are the easiest to set up and their search engine is remarkable.
2) Online Surveys. This is probably the most popular way to make money money online and also one of the most extorted ways as well. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER PAY FOR A SURVEY LIST!!! In a nutshell, finding out what consumers think and why we choose certain products enables the companies who are selling various products and services to make more money. So what they do is hire various research companies to design surveys and these companies then administer the surveys and pay you for your opinion. As of this writing I've been able to find 120 such companies that pay anywhere from $3- $100+ to partake in their surveys.
3) Affiliate marketing programs. This is another fantastic way to make money online however, in order to participate you have to have either a) your own website or b) your own blog. The way this works is that you are paid to promote another companies website in doing so, you earn a commission as either a) a percentage of each sale or b) a per lead basis, which is similiar to the Pay per click advertising with AdSense. I personally use an affiliate broker which gives you a huge list of affiliate companies, the most popular one online and my personal favorite is commission junction as they are very well respected and have a ton of affiliate programs you can promote!!!
4) Freelance Writing. This is something that I've heard about, however, never really look into until recently since I don't have an English degree and I'm not exactly the greatest writer and when I think of freelance writing, I'm thinking of the Associates Press or New York Times, however as of late I've found many companies that pay you just for writing about something you know.
5) Develope Your Own Product. This is probably the most difficult way to make money online however, its also probably one of the most lucrative. If you are looking fot the best oppurtunity to work at home and start a career, building a website and promoting your own product off of it is the best solution. Having your own web site opens the doors to a plethora of other opportunities as well. In addition to selling your own product u can promote affiliate programs you are involved with, set up links to freelance work you do, and even charge people to advertise on your site.
